In October, our school applied to take part in the National Concert Hall Primary Ensemble Project 2019. We were delighted to be offered a place on the programme. Working with Catherine McGorman, our Music teacher, Hilda Milner, visiting teacher from RIAM, and conductor Fergus O’Carroll, the children from Ms Tolan’s and Ms. McMahon’s classes prepared a solo piece, a collaborative ‘ensemble’ piece, Tabhair Dom do Lámh, which they would play with the children from Ranelagh Multi-Denominational School and the finale song, ‘Thank you for the Music’. On 4th April, the children were thrilled to have their own ‘dressing room’ at the National Concert Hall and they performed wonderfully well in their solo and ensemble pieces. It was great that so many parents were in the audience. Well done to all involved!
